Kiarostami has been nominated for the best director award and Ryo
Kase has been nominated for the best supporting actor award for his role
in the Japanese-language drama, which is a co-production of Iran,
France and Japan.
Starring Rin Takanashi, Tadashi Okuno and Ryo Kasehe,
the film narrates the life of a Japanese female university student. The
movie was shot in Tokyo and Yokohama. The movie is Kiarostami’s second
fiction feature made outside his native Iran. The first was “Certified
Copy”, which was shot in Italy in 2010.
